Chicken Bacon Penne (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 10 oz of penne

→ Proteins

02 - 1 ½ lbs chicken breasts, no skin or bones
03 - 8 bacon slices, diced

→ Dairy

04 - 4 oz of softened cream cheese
05 - 1 cup sour cream
06 - 2 cups cheddar, shredded

→ Produce & Aromatics

07 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
08 - ½ yellow onion, finely diced
09 - Green onions, chopped (garnish)

→ Liquids

10 - 2 cups of chicken stock

→ Seasonings

11 - 2 tsp dried parsley
12 - 1 tsp ground black pepper
13 - 1 tsp salt
14 - 1 packet ranch dressing seasoning

# Instructions:

01 - Boil penne until just soft but still firm (follow package tips). Rinse with cool water after draining and set aside.
02 - In a big pot over medium-high heat, fry the diced bacon till crisp. Scoop it out onto paper towels, keeping about a tablespoon of bacon fat in the pot.
03 - Cube the chicken into one-inch pieces, sprinkle with pepper and salt, and cook it in the same pot till golden.
04 - Throw in the diced onion and cook till the chicken is done and onions soften. Mix in the garlic and stir it for another minute.
05 - Pour in chicken stock, sour cream, cream cheese, seasoning, and the crispy bacon. Let it bubble a little, then lower the heat.
06 - Mix in the cheddar and cooked pasta. Let it heat for about 5 minutes before sprinkling green onions on top.
