Get a tray with a rim, layer it with parchment paper, and leave it nearby. Have all your ingredients ready to go near the stove.

On medium-high heat, melt your butter in a big saucepan.

Once the butter is melted, mix in the sugar, water, and light corn syrup. Keep stirring for about 2 minutes or until the sugar completely dissolves.

Pop on a candy thermometer and keep stirring the mix until it hits 300°F. This will take about 15 minutes.

As soon as you see the mixture reaches 300°F, quickly mix in the baking soda.

Toss in the salted peanuts and almonds quickly, then pour the mix onto your tray. Spread it out as evenly as you can.

After it cools completely (about 30 minutes), crack it into smaller pieces.
