Frozen Cherry Lime Drink (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 ½ cups of ice.
02 - ½ cup of water.
03 - ½ cup granulated sugar.
04 - Juice of 2 limes (about ¼ cup).
05 - Zest from 1 large lime or 2 smaller ones.
06 - ¼ cup of unsweetened tart cherry juice.
07 - 2 tablespoons of half-and-half, if you'd like.

# Instructions:

01 - In a small pot, mix the sugar and water, then heat it on medium. Stir every so often until the sugar's gone. Toss in the lime zest and take it off the stove.
02 - Cover the pot and let everything soak for an hour. When it's done, pour it through a fine sieve to get rid of the zest. Toss any extra syrup in the fridge—it'll last up to a week.
03 - Grab ½ cup of the lime syrup, toss it in a blender with the lime juice, cherry juice, half-and-half (if using), and ice.
04 - Blend until the ice chunks are gone and the mixture is nice and slushy.
05 - Split your frozen drink into 4 glasses (about 8 ounces each) and drink it up right away.

# Notes:

01 - This frothy frozen limeade is zippy and cool—perfect for summer. You can make it your own by throwing in more cherry juice for a punchy flavor or extra half-and-half for a smoother texture.
