Turn the oven to 350ยบ. Chop mushrooms into small pieces, then mince the garlic.

Heat a big pan with olive oil over medium. Toss in the mushrooms, followed by a little pepper and salt. Let them cook until tender. Stir in the garlic and cook just till liquid disappears.

Add flour and butter into the pan. Stir constantly, letting the mix form a paste. Keep going for about two minutes till it turns slightly golden.

Pour in veggie broth, then milk, and sprinkle in garlic powder. Stir thoroughly and make sure to scrape up any browned bits. Let it simmer and thicken.

Drop in cream cheese and stir until it's fully melted into the mixture.

Mix in the frozen beans. Let it cook until the sauce starts bubbling and the beans are heated through. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper.

Stir in 1/4 cup of crispy onions. Transfer everything to a baking dish and scatter the rest of the crispy onions on top.
