Green Crinkle Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - One 15.25 oz box white cake mix (around 3 cups)
02 - ⅓ cup of cooking oil
03 - Two eggs, large
04 - A tiny bit (¼ tsp) of green gel food coloring

→ Coating

05 - 6 tbsp powdered sugar
06 - 3 tbsp regular sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Mix together the cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil in a big mixing bowl using a spatula. The mix will come together into a sticky dough as everything blends smoothly.
02 - Squirt the green food coloring into the dough. Give it a good stir until the entire dough is bright green and there aren’t any streaks left.
03 - Wrap the mixing bowl with plastic and stick it in the refrigerator for half an hour. This helps the dough firm up, making it easier to shape and bake properly.
04 - Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper so the cookies don’t stick.
05 - Pour the regular sugar into one small bowl and the powdered sugar into another. These will be your coating stations.
06 - Scoop out 1-tablespoon portions of dough and roll them into balls. First roll each ball in the regular sugar until covered, then roll them in the powdered sugar for a final coat.
07 - Set the sugar-covered dough balls on the prepared baking sheet. Leave about 2 inches in between each ball so they can spread nicely.
08 - Pop the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 9–12 minutes. The cookies should firm up around the edges but stay soft in the center.
09 - Leave the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving them to paper towels or a cooling rack to finish cooling.
10 - Store the cookies in a sealed container once they’ve cooled completely to keep them fresh.

# Notes:

01 - Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day or any fun occasion with these eye-catching green cookies!
02 - The double sugar coating forms cracks as the cookies bake, creating a cool look with white sugar patterns over green dough.
03 - Choose gel food coloring for the brightest green without making the dough too runny.
04 - If kept sealed at room temperature, the cookies will stay fresh for up to five days.
