Honey Chicken Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken Prep

01 - A couple of big chicken breasts, skinless and boneless (roughly 1 pound total)
02 - 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
03 - 1/2 cup of flour (regular type)
04 - 1 large egg, whisked until smooth
05 - A pinch of paprika (smoked kind)
06 - 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and ground black pepper
07 - 1 cup of panko crumbs
08 - Vegetable oil, about 1/2 cup, for frying up the chicken

→ Honey Pepper Glaze

09 - Half a cup of honey
10 - 1 tablespoon of good apple cider vinegar
11 - 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
12 - 1/2 teaspoon of optional chili flakes for some heat
13 - 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
14 - 1 tablespoon of plain unsalted butter

→ Creamy Noodles

15 - 12 ounces of short pasta like rigatoni or penne
16 - 2 tablespoons of butter to start the sauce
17 - 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
18 - 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
19 - 1/2 cup of Parmesan, grated finely
20 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
21 - Add salt and black pepper as needed
22 - 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, minced small

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the noodles in salted water until they’re just barely done (al dente). Drain and don’t forget to keep 1/2 cup of that cooking water if you need it later.
02 - Cut the chicken into thin slices, coat in flour with seasonings, dip in egg, press into panko crumbs. Fry in hot oil until crispy and cooked through (165°F inside).
03 - Mix honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and peppers in a small pot over heat. Stir in butter until smooth and shiny.
04 - Soften garlic in melted butter, then pour in cream and sprinkle in Parmesan. Simmer gently till it’s thick and velvety.
05 - Mix the drained pasta into the cream sauce. Layer the sliced chicken on top, pour over the honey sauce, sprinkle mozzarella, then put it all under a broiler until bubbling and melty.
06 - Sprinkle parsley and more Parmesan if you want. Serve right away while hot.

# Notes:

01 - Save a little pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
02 - Cutting the chicken ahead of time can make frying more efficient.
