Maple Butter Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Essentials for Sandwich

01 - 4 slices of Cheddar cheese
02 - 4 large eggs
03 - 8 oz of ground pork sausage
04 - 4 halved English muffins

→ Maple Spread

05 - 1 tablespoon of real maple syrup
06 - 4 tablespoons of soft, salted butter

# Instructions:

01 - Make 4 equal-sized patties out of the pork sausage. Heat a big skillet that’s coated with non-stick spray on medium-high heat and fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side. They should be browned and crisp on the edges. Once done, place them on a paper towel-lined plate to soak up grease.
02 - Get rid of the sausage grease, but leave the skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Beat the eggs with some salt and pepper in a bowl. Pour it all into the skillet and let it cook until the top is still shiny but nearly cooked. Carefully fold over the eggs, then remove the skillet so the leftovers of the heat finish the cooking.
03 - Use a small bowl and mix the softened butter until it’s really smooth. Stir the maple syrup into the butter until it’s combined completely. While you’re at it, toast the muffin halves until they’re golden brown.
04 - Take each English muffin half and coat both sides with about a tablespoon of maple butter. Stack a folded egg on the bottom half, followed by a sausage patty and a slice of cheese. Pop it into the microwave for 20-30 seconds until the cheese gets gooey. Finish by putting the top half of the muffin on and repeat for all four sandwiches. Serve while still warm and melty!

01 - Josh can't get enough of these easy-to-make sandwiches. The maple butter gives it a sweet little upgrade.
