Combine everything for the marinade in a bowl and give it a good stir. Leave it for now.

Use a meat mallet to pound the thick side of your chicken breast until it’s the same thickness all over. Cover it with plastic wrap beforehand.

Put the marinade in a sealable bag. Add the chicken, close the bag, and massage it gently until the chicken is fully coated.

Pop the bag in the fridge and leave it for 30 minutes to soak up the flavors.

Take the chicken out of the bag, then grill or bake it however you’d like.

Set your oven to 400°F. Line a baking pan with foil and add a wire rack on top. Place the chicken on the rack and bake it uncovered until its temperature inside reads 165°F. This should take about 25 minutes if the chicken is half an inch thick.

Grill the chicken until the inside temperature reaches 165°F. If it’s half an inch thick, this will probably take around 15 minutes.
